The Financial Services team, Corporate Services is responsible for providing financial accounting, systems, operations, governance, budget coordination and management accounting to our clients in the delivery of their accountabilities. The role of the team is to ensure the department has a sound financial management framework that achieves
compliance with statutory and accountability requirements and other financial standards together with the provision of budget and management accounting services.
Reporting to the Director, Financial Services, the Manager, Financial Governance and Operations is responsible for developing and maintaining key financial management and governance frameworks, compliance and administration of financial operations activities, maintaining financial policies and processes to ensure an appropriate governance and internal control practices are in place.

As Manager of the Financial Governance and Operations team, you will:
• drive development and implementation of financial management and accounting policies and procedures, along with effectively communicating and working with the internal stakeholders to deliver required training programs.
• co-ordinate the assurance activities as part of the agency's financial internal control framework and as required for the Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
• guide the team to develop and implement key frameworks, policies and processes to ensure that an appropriate Financial Internal Control Framework is
effectively and efficiently implemented and maintained.
• lead a team to provide financial operational functions including but not limited to the payment of Queensland Foster Carers, approval of master data, corporate card coordination, travel, petty cash, on time payments.
• You will deliver high level strategic financial management and advisory services.
