About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to hone your skills and advance your privacy career while supporting the department to protect the personal information of our Queensland state school students and stakeholders and provide privacy advice to assist in the safer use of technologies for teaching and learning. Working within the Information and Technologies Branch, the Privacy team includes the Director, Manager, two Principal Privacy Officers, a Senior Privacy Officer and Privacy Officer.
You will manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes, provide training to departmental staff on privacy obligations, and promote a collaborative, respectful and inclusive team culture.
About You:
As a Senior Privacy Officer, you will help champion a culture of privacy by design and engage across the department on a diverse range of business initiatives. You will have experience providing definitive advice in relation to privacy management and compliance with relevant legislative privacy frameworks, including the management of privacy breaches and privacy complaints, while contributing to the protection of the personal information of our students, staff and parent community through training and other initiatives. You will also have demonstrated experience or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in reviewing and providing advice regarding privacy impact assessments.
