Public Health Unit are looking for a Administration Support Officer to join their team. This unit's primary role is to enhance the health of the community by preventing disease, illness and injury, promoting health and wellbeing, and managing risk. This position provides a quality administration support service for the Metro South Public Health Unit (MSPHU) multidisciplinary team. This will include general administrative tasks, switchboard operation and data entry.

About the Role
- Utilise high level customer service skills to effectively and efficiently manage the MSPHU switchboard, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of information to support customers and staff.
- Contribute to the development of databases and complete data entry and reporting, whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of information in databases.
- Work independently and as part of a team to effectively manage tasks and negotiate priorities to support the daily operations of MSPHU, exercising judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, typing, formatting, photocopying, internal/external mail, management of shared inboxes, faxing, data entry and filing. This may include ad-hoc activities as directed by the multidisciplinary Team Leads in consultation with the Administration Manager.
