Program Officer (Corridor Management)

TMR has a vacancy for a Program Officer (Corridor Management) based in Bundaberg. In this role you will apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements in respect to applications for permits to undertake activities or works in the road corridor.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Assess and make recommendations on the approval of road corridor and public utility services permits.
• Assess and make recommendations on the approval of traffic control permits.
• Assess and make recommendations for approval on heavy vehicles permits.
• Undertake the approval process for controlled burning applications.
• Assess signage applications.
• Undertake site inspections across the Wide Bay Burnett District for compliance related to road corridor and public utility permit conditions issued under the Transport Infrastructure Act (1994).
• Liaise with and respond to a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to the management of the transport corridor, and associated coordination issues with road infrastructure projects in the region.
• Ensure entry and accuracy of all program and project data into relevant systems.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• A ‘C' class driver's licence is necessary to undertake site inspections.
Requirements of the role:
• In order to undertake site inspections, the incumbent will be required to travel within the Wide Bay Burnett District. Overnight travel may be required on occasion.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, succinct, deliberate manner, to ensure the messaging resonates with different stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise, plan and manage time effectively to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others and contribute to the team's success.
