Policy & Legislation are seeking two AO6 Senior Policy Officers. One will join the Policy Development team and the other will join the
Policy and Statutory Engagement team.
These small teams each lead and influence a wide variety of matters including: policy and research activities on initiatives and issues impacting on the future direction of early
childhood education, school education and tertiary education in Queensland; and support and advice to senior officers on a range of strategic development issues.

About the Role
As a Senior Policy Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Coordination and provision of strategic advice and social and economic analysis to enable quality executive decision making.
- Participate in, and coordinate aspects of, projects and teams to successfully formulate innovative and workable policy options and solutions.
- Assist in the creation of frameworks for policy development and reform of the provision and administration of early childhood education, school education and tertiary education services.
- Participate in, and coordinate aspects of, research and assessment of strategic policy initiatives and development of strategic advice to the Minister, the Director-General and senior officers of the department.
