Exciting opportunity for a Registrar to join our Ophthalmology Surgical and Critical Care Department. This position provides day to day Ophthalmology services to presenting patients at Caloundra Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Fixed-term temporary contract commencing August 2025.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide high quality, safe Ophthalmology care and advice to patients presenting to the Ophthalmology Department.
- Provision of Ophthalmic services to support both outpatient and surgical activity, including being competent to conduct their own independent cataract lists.
- Perform clinical and non-clinical duties as directed by the Director of Ophthalmology.
Salary rates: $4,966.90 - $5,758.70 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4 - L9) (Temporary full-time position, 76 hrs p.f. commencing August 2025). Applications will remain current for 12 months / or the duration of the vacancy.
