An exciting opportunity exists for an Oral Health Therapist Team Leader. The Team Leader is part of the management team of Oral Health Services. The role will provide leadership, operational management, professional advice and support to the dental and oral health therapist workforce with a high degree of independence that supports continuous improvement of service delivery. Clinically, the role will contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the Sunshine Coast Oral Health Service through the delivery of oral health and dental therapy services, working within a multidisciplinary team.

An exciting opportunity exists for an Oral Health Therapist Team Leader. The Team Leader is part of the management team of Oral Health Services.
The role will provide leadership, operational management, professional advice and support to the dental and oral health therapist workforce with a high degree of independence that supports continuous improvement of service delivery.
Clinically, the role will contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the Sunshine Coast Oral Health Service through the delivery of oral health and dental therapy services, working within a multidisciplinary team.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Undertake dental therapy practice of both a complex and routine nature including where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require modifications with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Provide professional advice and information pertaining to oral health, liaising effectively with clients and their families, with members of the multidisciplinary team and with other health professionals, internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure efficient and improved oral health services.
- Provide high level advice to operational managers of the local oral health team and Consultant Oral Health Therapist and other relevant stakeholders regarding clinical procedures and non-clinical processes to ensure safe, effective and sustainable service delivery.
- Undertake day to day operational management of the local oral health work unit by planning and coordinating efficient resource allocation and monitoring of activity to achieve organisational service priorities and goals.
Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $128 169 - $137 918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary position available for 12 months).
