Occupational Therapy clinicians within Women's and Children's work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Women's and Children's Services as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across SCHHS as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.
Our vision is to provide contemporary, multidisciplinary, evidence based allied health programs and models of care that are suitably resourced and skilled to deliver tertiary services to the paediatric population of our community. We are committed to work within WCS to support the community-based programs, including Child Development (CDS) and Child, Youth and Family Health (CYFH), and to promote the delivery of locally based services across the HHS.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level paediatric and neonatal Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.
Remuneration value up to $62,943 p.a., comprising salary rates $64.64- $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent part time position, 30.4 p.f.).
