About Dakabin State High School
Dakabin State High School is a large secondary school situated in Dakabin, Queensland, Australia. We are a co-educational school of approximately 1000 students. The school was established in 1978 and is located on the northern side of Brisbane approximately 30 kilometres from the CBD. Our school offers a variety of learning opportunities to ensure that all students can excel. We have a strong academic and artistic focus, as well as an excellent reputation in our extra-curricular and sporting activities. In fact, our spacious land and Agricultural Farm are unique features of our school. We have a wonderful community which supports our students far beyond the classroom to ensure they can contribute to society in a positive way. The future lies within!
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Lead a whole school approach to Inclusive Education and Case Management
- Operationalise a Whole school Inclusive Education Plan and associated resourcing, including NCCD process and Teacher Aide support.
