Principal Finance Officer

As the Principal Finance Officer, you will support oversight of the division’s budget through your contributions to annual budget processes, preparation of strategic financial reports and provision of high-quality advice. You will also lead the division’s financial assurance and compliance processes and oversee the financial aspects of the Queensland Wide Inter-linked Courts (QWIC) system and Suitors Fund.

Your key responsibilities:
- Review and provide strategic advice on financial information used to support the division's annual budget process, including the mid-year fiscal and economic review.
- Prepare and analyse divisional financial reporting the Courts and Tribunals (CAT) Board of Management and DJAG Finance Committee.
- Provide advice on divisional financial correspondence, including funding and FTE availability, costings, and delegations.
- Lead financial assurance and compliance processes, including outstanding debtors and informing internal and external audits.
- Prepare and analyse financial information for government reports, including the Report on Government Services and Service Delivery Statements.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the Queensland Wide Inter-linked Courts (QWIC) system as well as the Suitors Fund's administration, including reporting.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and participate in interdepartmental and interagency meetings as required.
- Undertake other duties as required.
