You are invited to join a dynamic team with Emergency Department as an Administration Officer. In this role you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a highly responsive and effective administration support and customer service function, supporting clinical staff to ensure services meet current and future clinical needs, enabling the department to meet service demands and challenges.

About you:
In your new role you will:
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service by responding to general reception enquiries for the department by answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
- Attend to presenting patients, family members, general public, police and ambulance by providing information and direction to relevant areas.
- Verify and update all compensable data on the current patient information systems ensuring the capture of quality data and accurate recording of all patient details including demographic information, Medicare, Private Health Insurance, Department of Defence and Department of Veterans Affairs information.
- Support Activity Based Funding initiatives and contributed to patient flow initiatives by maintaining the accuracy of all current patient information systems.
