Tell me more...Are you a passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) looking for a career that's both rewarding and adventurous? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS), based in Cairns with weekly travel to remote Cape York communities.
About the Role
As a CNC in our team, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and support in the delivery of mental health and substance use services. Your work will make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families across some of Queensland's most remote and culturally rich communities.
This unique role involves:
- Weekly travel to Cape York communities by road and air
- Building strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Delivering holistic and culturally responsive care
- Working closely with local health teams and community leaders
- Supporting prevention, early intervention, and recovery-oriented approaches
