Be responsible for the delivery of community and school based oral health services in order to optimise the oral health of the eligible population. Provide a sound standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the community oral health service and child and adolescent oral health service.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Oral Health Therapists to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Deliver sound knowledge using clinical and problem-solving skills in oral health therapy clinical services, health promotion and public health
  • Utilise an understanding of oral health reporting and information management systems
  • Provide counsel and ethical decision making regarding oral health clinical services
  • Actively participate in developing and implementing programs and innovative approaches to prevent oral disease

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Oral Health (or equivalent)
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Appropriate User License issued under the Queensland Radiation Safety Act 1999
  • Driver Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
  • While not mandatory, additional scope of practice in Adult Restorative and Orthodontics would be highly regarded

Salary

  • Permanent full time, permanent part time, temporary full time and temporary part time (Three permanent full time positions, or several part time positions, minimum 45.6 hrs p.f. Temporary positions up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $79 051 - $116 189 per annum, or $3 030 - $4 453.50 per fortnight, or $39.86 - $58.59 per hour
