Head of Department - Senior Schooling - Pimlico State High School

An exciting opportunity exists at Pimlico State High School for a Head of Department - Senior Schooling.
In this role, you will lead the Senior Schooling department with responsibility for ensuring RTO compliance in the delivery of Certificate II, III, and IV courses, including oversight of TAE completion and the industry experience of staff delivering these courses.
You will also work with staff to deliver the school’s own Certificate II in Leadership, ensuring successful completion by all Year 11 students.

Your Opportunity
As the Head of Department - Teaching and Learning, you will:
- Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives
- Participate in delivering the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
The Head of Department is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - Teaching and Learning, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
