The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide clinical advice applying the latest evidence and high-level judgement to influence the development of clinical services in all aspects relating to the specific areas of neuropsychology practice
  • Provide clinical oversight and where appropriate provide clinical practice supervision for less experienced psychologists, HP3 Allied Health clinicians, Allied Health Assistants, students and other QH employees
  • Enable safe, timely and sustainable discharge of complex patients with the aim of reducing low value healthcare utilisation for this cohort
  • Undertake clinical governance activities related to neuropsychology

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Post-graduate qualifications from a relevant accredited psychology training programme
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Driver Licence
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

 Salary

  • Permanent part time (16 hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The IMPACCT Services team, including the Complex Care Nurse Navigator Service, the Complex Discharge Service the Multi-Disciplinary Avoidance and Post-Acute Service (MAPS) and the newly created Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Proactive Risk Identification and Navigation Team (IMPRINT), comes under the overarching leadership of the Integrated Care Services, Rehabilitation, Aged Care, and Community Services.
