Emerald State High School are welcoming applications for an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join their friendly school community on a permanent part-time basis, at 0.79 FTE and 60 hours per fortnight.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the provision of a quality
educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

About the Role
As a Teacher Aide you will be required to:
- Display respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
- Support students in and out of the classroom, including during playground duty.
- Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families.
- Assist with personal care needs as required, including general health and safety of students - training will be provided.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and students to support positive outcomes.
- Support students with self-regulation and curriculum access.
- Support the use of reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
- Proven ability to work independently, achieving quality work outcomes.
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills.
- Efficient multi-tasking, time management and organisational skills.
