The South East Region (SEQR) is looking for a Senior Ranger to lead a specialist team providing technical support to Operational bases, and management in the areas of Asset and Fleet/P&E management. This position provides a vital role in coordination, planning and delivery of various asset programs across a region of diverse landscapes and teams of Rangers.

The Senior Ranger Assets role is responsible for leading and coordinating Asset Management across SEQR. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the effective planning, maintenance, and replacement of plant and equipment to support regional operations, aligning with Park Management Plans and the Values Based Management Framework. The role includes overseeing the regional Maintenance Program, assisting operational teams with strategic maintenance planning and facilitating capital plant and equipment proposals. The position also ensures the efficient delivery of funded tasks, accurate financial system management, and proper recording and disposal of assets.
The role involves a mix of office-based tasks and field duties, requiring the ability to traverse diverse terrain, including steep and uneven tracks, sandy areas and mountain bike trails. From time to time, the role may also involve physical tasks, such as assisting with fire-fighting activities. This is a critical leadership role in ensuring regional assets are well-maintained and meet operational needs, contributing to the effective management and preservation of Queensland's natural areas.
Reporting to this position are two direct reports, and the Senior Ranger Assets collaborates closely with Operational and Technical Support Teams across the region to support all facets of asset management.
