The Social Work Department team are seeking a Social Worker – Advanced (Team Leader) to join them. In this role you will provide operational leadership to a team of Social Workers in the Cairns Hospital Social Work Department. This includes operational supervision; performance development; rostering; recruitment and day-to-day management of human resources.

About you:
In your new role you will
- Provide clinical leadership and demonstrate high level management skills in monitoring and prioritising workload demands to enhance the delivery of Social Work services across all clinical areas of Cairns Hospital.
- Deliver advanced-level social work services of a highly complex and varied nature, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics; AASW Professional Practice Standards; and relevant AASW Scope/s of Practice.
- Apply high-level professional judgement, strategic advocacy and decision making to independently manage a complex caseload, adapting routine and non-routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable clinical evidence.
- Lead research, education and professional development programs and activities.
