Licensing Assessment Officer

In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and determining matters related to licensing, including the evaluation of licence applications, renewals, and owner builder permit requests. This position is based in Brisbane and flexible arrangements can be considered upon application, including working from home and working remotely at a Regional QBCC office subject to availability. 

 

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities

  • Reviewing and assessing licensing matters in accordance with delegation including refusal of licence applications and decision outcomes.
  • Interpret and apply policy and legislation.
  • Undertake research for cases and projects.
  • Represent the QBCC in promotional and educational activities.
  • Represent the QBCC in hearings before the tribunal and courts as required.
  • Participate in planning and change management activities making recommendations for improvements.
  • Gather industry intelligence to ensure proactive service delivery.
  • Undertake general administrative duties, liaise with licensees, respond to general licensing enquiries and support communication across the QBCC.
