About the role
Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services is a state-of-the-art facility that will deliver 90 additional beds in West Moreton as part of Queensland Health's Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery Program. The project will deliver a three-storey facility located on Botany Drive, South Ripley. It is located on the Ripley Health Campus and is co-located with the current Satellite Health Centre.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level ability to apply advanced knowledge in pharmacy including knowledge of the healthcare system, advanced computer literacy, medical terminology, and general medical conditions.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate, supervise and liaise effectively, with an understanding of the scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
- Strong ability to initiate, plan, perform and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of a registered pharmacist.
- High level of ability to provide a defined range of advaned pharmacy services to people with variable health literacy, under the supervision of a pharmacists.
- High level knowledge of pharmacy funding arrangements (including the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and Special Access Scheme), clinical trials management, good manufacturing practice and current Australian pharmacy professional standards and guidelines.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
