Queensland State Archives (QSA) connects Queenslanders with their past - the histories of families, local communities, and the state by looking after the largest documentary heritage collection in Queensland.
QSA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Manager to lead our Access Services team in providing archival support, research and advice and in enhancing discoverability to our heritage collection, both onsite and online.

As the Manager Access Services, you will provide leadership and management to the Access Services team to facilitate the discoverability and management of access to the collection in accordance with the Public Records Act 2023.
In this role you will:
• Lead a high performing team in the delivery of access services, managing and prioritising the work activities and resources to ensure strategic priorities and programs of work are delivered in accordance with service level agreements.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance discoverability of, and access to, the collection both onsite and online for public, researchers, Queensland public authorities and QSA partners.
• Provide advice and administer access to archival public records in accordance with the Public Records Act 2023.
• Contribute to a positive and safe work environment by adopting and promoting a trauma informed and culturally safe approach to archival records.
• Build and maintain close relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including representing QSA on working groups and delivering presentations.
• Research, analyse and prepare written reports, discussion papers and responses, including requests for advice, information and statistics.
• Model the behaviours expected of a leader at QSA including fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, promoting an environment of strong customer service, collaboration and teamwork.
