About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to undertake designated duties under the supervision of Patient Food Services Supervisor within the scope of Food Services responsibilities ensuring an effective and efficient standard of work.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist with the production of sandwich and cold food items as well as the preparation, plating, distribution of patient meals and mid meal beverage service as directed and an ability to interpret patient diet list for ward services. Ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
- Undertake general kitchen duties including but not limited to operation of a flight through dishwasher, patient tray stripping, pot wash duties, pushing trolleys and general cleaning as directed, ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Ability to work within the demands in a fast-paced environment whilst still maintaining customer service focus and satisfaction in providing efficient service to STARS patients coworkers and stakeholders.
