About the role

The North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) Service Manager Audit and Risk will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and management of organisational risk across all areas of the Health Service.

Work closely with the Director of Strategic Planning, Improvement, Risk and Reporting, the Manager Audit and Risk will work as part of a dynamic team and be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring programs that advance patient safety, quality of care and risk across the NWHHS.

Provide audit and evaluation expertise, coordination and management to staff of the NWHHS supporting effective risk management, leading to safe practice and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

      • The successful applicant must hold a recognised Health Practitioner qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and be eligible for registration (where applicable) or membership of the relevant professional body/associated (Refer to Role Description for further information).
      • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
      • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
      • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
      • Blue Card Checks: This role provides health, counselling and support services and is deemed regulated employment under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000. You must hold a Working with Children Blue Card prior to appointment to this position for those professions which are not AHPRA registered
      • A period of probation may apply.
