As an AO4 Advisor, Employee Relations, you will be a part of the Employee Relations Centre of Expertise team within People and Culture, a specialist team providing expert advice and assistance across the department on all industrial and employee relations matters.

What you will be doing:

Providing industrial relations and employee relations advice and assistance across the Department of Housing and Public Works (HPW) by -
• Working in partnership with HR Business Partners to provide advice to managers and supervisors on a diverse range of contemporary employee relations and human resource issues.
• Providing advice on a diverse range of matters relating to the department's employment framework and the interpretation and application of relevant certified agreements, awards, legislation and directives.
• Assisting in the negotiation of enterprise bargaining agreements, including coordination of related activities.
• Assisting in the preparation of matters in various commissions and tribunals including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
• Developing, reviewing and implementing employee relations and human resources policies.
• Coordinating performance reporting on employee and industrial relations matters and preparing reports as required.
• Undertaking research and contributing to the formulation of submissions, preparing other correspondence including letters and briefing notes.
