As the Senior Document Controller, you will lead the Delivery Authoritys Document Control function, providing operational oversight and expert guidance to ensure document management services support compliance, reporting, and governance across the project. You will coordinate daily workflows and mentor team members, fostering best practices and continuous improvement in document control. This role oversees the Project Document Collaboration System (PDCS) and supports system functionality across TeamBinder and Content Manager (TRIM), in collaboration with the System Administrator. You will also facilitate technical review workflows, manage formal requests for Information, and contribute to the successful delivery of handover and handback documentation.

Cross River Rail is transforming how we travel to, from, and through Brisbane. It's a catalyst for broader rail transformation across South East Queensland and plays a key role in preparing for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The project includes a new 10.2km rail line with 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD, and four new underground stations. The Delivery Authority also manages supporting works—accessibility upgrades for eight surface stations, three new Gold Coast stations, stabling yard upgrades, track works, surface enhancements, and a world-class digital signalling system.
About the Role
As Senior Document Controller, you'll lead the Document Control function, providing operational oversight and expert guidance to ensure document management supports compliance, reporting, and governance. You'll coordinate workflows, mentor the team, and drive improvement. The role oversees the Project Document Collaboration System (PDCS) and supports TeamBinder and Content Manager (TRIM) with the System Administrator. You'll facilitate review workflows, manage RFIs, and help deliver key handover and handback documentation. Collaborating with internal teams and Alliance partners, you'll ensure document control aligns with project needs across all delivery phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Document Control team and manage daily workflows
- Guide document strategies across all lifecycle phases
- Oversee handover and handback documentation to meet contract requirements
- Support TeamBinder functionality and reporting; escalate technical issues
- Represent Document Control in internal and external forums
- Provide level 1 and 2 user support for PDCS, TeamBinder, and TRIM
- Review and advise on Document, Configuration, and Change Management Plans
- Enable integrated data sharing and ensure information governance compliance
- Develop workflows and automate processes for efficiency
- Build trusted relationships across Program Information Management, Legal, Commercial, and Alliance partners
About You:
- Experienced in senior document control roles, including leadership, mentoring, and implementing strategies, procedures, and improvements
- Strong knowledge of document management systems such as TeamBinder, TRIM (Content Manager), or ProjectWise
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills; able to manage workflows, spot discrepancies, and respond to urgent RFIs
- Strong communicator with experience engaging stakeholders, senior management, and auditors, and representing Document Control in meetings
- Understanding of document control across the full project lifecycle: start-up to closeout
- Able to provide authoritative advice on document and records management to meet contractual and governance obligations
