Tamrookum State School is looking for a reliable and dedicated cleaner to join our supportive team.
This important role helps ensure the school operates smoothly by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
As part of our cleaning team, you will deliver high-quality cleaning services in line with the Department of Education’s standards and the school’s cleaning program.
Hours can be flexible to suit school and or individual.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the Role:
- Clean classrooms, staffrooms, offices, toilets, and other school facilities according to the cleaning schedule and Department of Education standards.
- Carry out daily and term-based cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, disinfecting high-touch areas, and maintaining hygiene supplies.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Business Manager or Principal.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) guidelines and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain security and confidentiality while working on school premises.
