The Chief Finance Officer Services team are seeking a Procurement and Contracts Support Officer to join them. In this role you will provide administrative support to the Procurement and Contracts Unit to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of procurement and contracts services.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will: 

• Deal professionally with sensitive and confidential issues in the context of close working relationships with internal and external clients of the Unit.
• Maintain a high level of client service and support to staff and colleagues at all times.
• Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, reports and other documentation as directed and in consultation with the Unit.
• Perform a highly efficient, confidential administrative support function for the Procurement and Contracts Unit as directed.
• Undertake word processing and other administrative duties for the Unit ensuring the quality of the work is compliant with the standards and procedures adopted by the Unit, including those outlined in the Queensland Health corporate standards.
