Role details
The Clinical Measurements Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Measurements Scientist to join their team on a casual basis.

Your opportunity
- Deliver, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, routine cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurement services within the Clinical Measurements Unit of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards.
- Develop the skills and knowledge to perform these services independently and to undertake more complex roles in the provision of cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurements services across two or more modalities as a multi-specialist practitioner in the Clinical Measurements Unit.
About the Team
The Clinical Measurement Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including cardiac, respiratory and neurological diagnostic services.
The unit staff are a resource for education and training; and an information resource to all levels and disciplines of hospital staff, students, and to external agencies. The unit accepts requests directly from medical officers for all inpatients and outpatients of the Mackay Base Hospital; from other regional hospitals and private external medical practitioners.
The unit operates Monday to Friday with operating hours of 8.00am to 4.30pm. After-hours on-call services are required at other times as part of a rostered service cover.
