This role is instrumental in meeting state-wide workforce reporting requirements. The successful candidate will transform data analyses into clear, actionable insights through dashboards and reports, ensuring high data quality and consistency. You will play a key part in enabling confident decision-making based on a single, reliable source of truth. 

What you'll do

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline operational data handling, expand on current suite of reports and dashboards, and optimise business intelligence processes by working closely with specialists within the broader team to design, develop and deploy changes and updates.
  • Define, document and execute small projects or sub-projects including the clarification of business requirements, drafting project plans and timelines and makes recommendations of appropriate solutions and improvements.
  • Provide detailed and specific advice within their specialist knowledge area to support customer requests, strategic planning and workforce operations. Where appropriate, collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure advice given is appropriate to the organisation's needs.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Works collaboratively to develop and implement solutions. Seeks to address client needs within the defined scope of responsibility. (SFIA: CNSL-4)
  • Provides advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools. (SFIA: METL – 4)
  • Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects. Agrees project approach with stakeholders and prepares realistic project plans (including scope, schedule, quality, risk and communication plans). Tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate. (SFIA: PRMG-4)
  • Selects and applies non-standard business intelligence tools and techniques to provide insights and aid decision-making. Selects, acquires and integrates data for analysis. (SFIA: BINT-4)
