About the role
Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to deliver high-level psychology or neuropsychology clinical care, assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation, and leadership for individuals with co-occurring mental health, intellectual and/or developmental disability, and complex needs.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide specialised intake review and discipline specific assessment, brief intervention and consultation and liaison services, in partnership with MNMH treating teams and primary care providers, for people who have a diagnosed or suspected intellectual and/or developmental disability with a co-occurring moderate to severe mental condition and complex medical and/or psychosocial needs.
- Provide high-level psychology advice and education to the multidisciplinary team, operational supervisors, and key stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development, to facilitate optimal consumer care and outcomes and assist with the promotion and development of educational opportunities and collegial support.
- Provide clinical leadership and participate in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality, service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of the service and of clinical psychology practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care, improve consumer care, and contribute to the development of an innovative specialised service.
