About us:

The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work. In addition to the generalist services provided, the Allied Health professions provide two targeted service areas, namely developmental paediatrics, and cancer care. Senior Allied Health clinicians have regular contact with senior staff within the hospital and across Central Queensland (CQ) Health. Regular communication occurs with the professional seniors and the Allied Health Team Leader - Banana.

About the role:

The Physiotherapist works as a member of the Banana Allied Health Team providing comprehensive, effective, and efficient Physiotherapist services to stakeholders/customers of CQ Health. Services provided are of a varied caseload complexity, spanning the continuum of care that includes service provision to patients/clients within inpatient, outpatient, and community clinical settings. The position provides an opportunity to work within a varied and complex caseload, and when appropriate use a transdisciplinary service model, whilst contributing to safe, reliable, and sustainable services for CQ Health. The position also outreaches to the CQ Health facilities at Moura, Theodore, and Baralaba.

About you:

  • The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Potential applicants are advised that travel to Moura, Theodore and Baralaba as part of the outreach services provided on a fortnightly to monthly basis, is a requirement for this position. There may also be a requirement to work in Gladstone on an ad hoc basis. Accommodation will be sought for all periods where the applicant is required to work outside their place of permanent employment.
  • There may be opportunities for the successful applicant to be available for recall services and weekend work as per departmental business requirements.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $11,047 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
