Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate and participate in integrated transport planning projects and corridor studies within the District.
• Lead, manage and coordinate the area planning, corridor strategies, feasibility and concept phases of projects, in close liaison with consultants, advisors and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project progress against predetermined time, cost and quality specifications.
• Lead and manage the program resources (internal and external) to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilised, and to ensure deliverable, time and budgetary requirements are met.
• Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to planning and technical issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the projects.
• Review state and local government planning documents to assess their implications for Transport and Main Roads and provide response to those documents on behalf of the District.
• Engage and assist the Operations Unit, in particular to the development of road safety projects/programs, road safety audits, crash investigations and speed limit reviews.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
• It is a condition of employment for recommended appointee/s to disclose any previous serious discipline action taken against them for consideration by the delegate prior to any appointment.
