Mackay is a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland, servicing a population of approximately 200,000. The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Region has a thriving economy that includes a diverse range of tourism, agriculture, industry, mining, education, and health industries.
Mackay Hospital and Health Service The Mackay Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs Service comprises an acute mental health inpatient facility with 24 beds and a Step-Up Step-Down Unit with 6 beds. Community Mental Health Services include an Acute Care Service, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Continuing Care Team, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team, Early Psychosis, Child and Youth Mental Health, Older Persons Mental Health, and Alcohol & Other Drugs Service. The rural communities are serviced by outreaching community teams in the Moranbah and Whitsunday area.
In addition to the Community Child and Youth Mental Health Service we have an Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service which forms part of an integrated continuum of care for adolescents requiring mental health treatment. These services are based in Mackay with limited outreach services to Bowen, Moranbah, and Sarina. The Child and Adolescent Unit in the MBH have two designated mental health beds for crisis intervention cases and links with the Townsville Adolescent Unit in the case of prolonged admissions.
Salary Information (L18-L24, L25-L27):
Total remuneration value of up to $483,619 (L24) is comprised of:
- A salary between $210,332-$244,313 (L18-L24)
Total remuneration value of up to $528,464 (L27) is comprised of:
- A salary between $251,527-$266,677 (L25-L27)
