Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Senior Medical Education Officer to join Medical Education and Workforce Services at the Townsville University Hospital on a temporary full-time basis, commencing 08/09/2025 - 06/04/2026.

Please note: there is a possibility of an additional 12 month extension.

About the opportunity 

The Senior Medical Education Officer will liaise with other Medial Education Staff and Senior Medical Staff to assess training needs for prevocational medical graduates, develop, enhance and deliver training to meet these needs, while contributing to achievement of required training programme accreditation.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $4620.20 to $4982.80 p.f. (PO4)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Professional Development allowance
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Tertiary-level qualification in either education or a health-related discipline is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in education and/or clinical teaching would be advantageous.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
