The Office of the Deputy Director General are looking for a Principal Project & Improvement Officer to join their team. In this role you will provide essential leadership and coordination of the divisional corporate governance and correspondence functions. You will also provide high level timely consistent and strategic advice to assist in the management and resolution of key issues including critical policy, planning and operational issues impacting the division.

What you'll do
- Lead and/or co-ordinate complex and time critical projects on behalf of ODDG.
- Be accountable for the development and dissemination of high-quality information relating to initiatives of the Division and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Provide a conduit between the ODDG and the Offices of the Branch Executive Directors within CSQ, for all matters affecting business continuity with a particular focus on sensitive, time critical or confidential matters.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing change, building capacity, improving performance and enhancing the quality of the working environment within ODDG and division.
- Contribute to improvement activities through identifying problems, providing solutions and initiating change to develop better practices within ODDG and division.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated high level strong oral and written communication, with highly effective interpersonal skills together with the ability to consult, negotiate, influence and provide authoritative advice on a range of organisational issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, high-pressure, high-volume environment, and to prioritise and coordinate competing assignments within best practice timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage organisational change and organisational effectiveness initiatives either independently, or as a component of a broader project.
- Proven leadership and relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to supervise staff in line with quality human resource management practices including equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
