Role details
The Workplace Health and Safety at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Fit Testing Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The role will provide and operational oversight of the continued implementation of quantitative fit testing and fit checking to ensure staff exposed to the highest risk of transmission are adequately protected. The role will be accountable for implementation, coordination, education, and delivery of testing across the MHHS. The fit testing program includes fit testing in accordance with the Australian Standard, statewide direction, and the development of new and sustainable processes for conducting fit testing of P2/N95 masks and reusable masks for relevant healthcare staff.
The Clinical Nurse provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for the portfolio of Fit Testing and Fit Checking. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature.
About the Team
The Work Health and Safety Unit provides work health and safety advisory, support, investigation, audit and assessment services to MHHS service groups, business units and facilities across MHHS. The Work Health and Safety Unit is within the People and Culture Division supporting safety and wellbeing initiatives.
