About the role:
As Senior Events Officer at QMK, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the administration and logistics of hosting commercial and partnered events; converting enquiries to confirmed bookings, ensuring a high-quality customer experience
- Establishing a framework for the event enquiry and booking process and successfully embedding it across the organisation.
- Providing timely and accurate information to keep clients informed about availability and requirements for hosting events at Queensland Museum
- Reviewing existing or develop new documentation, as required, to assist the sales, venue management and event delivery processes, ensuring compliance with internal operating procedures.
- Providing high-quality administrative coordination to prepare a range of documents including planning schedules, letters of agreement and running orders for events, financial management wtihin delegations, following relevant processes and procedures and using relevant systems.
- Conducting venue inspections with clients and partners
- Undertaking research to assess suitability of requested events against QM policy providing recommendations for approval by the Director, Experience and Engagement
Required skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating tasks for delivery of commercial events in a cultural or public-facing organisation would be highly regarded
- Experience with an event/booking management system - eg Momentus Elite/Enterprise or VenueOps/Ungerboeck EBMS
- Current Queensland Working with Children Card (Blue Card) or ability to obtain one
- Current C Class Driver's License
