The Engagement Division advances our strategic objectives and increases economic readiness by fostering a culture of engagement with the community. They do this by connecting Queensland small businesses and other key stakeholder groups to the programs and tools they need to invest in themselves and their future, engage and participate in the economy and employ and respond to change. Engagement is comprised of Customer and Digital, Priority Industries and Initiatives, and Regional
Service Delivery.
About the role
As the Manager, you will:
• Manage key relationships and partnerships with external organisation, industry, training providers, schools and community organisations to identify emerging trends within industry sectors and the vocational education and training (VET) system.
• Provide expert advice and strategic support to the Regional Director regarding the delivery of high-quality services and programs in the region, and drive innovative and practical solutions to enhance employment, training and skilling initiatives.
• Provide strong leadership and management to ensure high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction in regional employment and training programs, and oversee regional planning initiatives, integrate service delivery strategies, manage risks, monitor performance and uphold core values.
• Support the region's operational plan by ensuring employment and training programs meet objectives, delivery targets and key performance indicators, including the preparation and presentation of comprehensive performance reports.
What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can:
• Clearly communicate the regions and department's policy directions and activities to external stakeholders, an maintain networks with organisations, government
departments, industries and businesses to stay informed of trends and build strategic partnerships related to vocational education and training.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of administrative systems to provide accurate and reliable data that meets reporting requirements across a wide range of regional employment and training programs.
• Actively engage and consult with stakeholders in the VET system including organisations, industry, training providers and schools to understand their needs and
provide a range of effective solutions and service system responses. Refer to the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities and what we are looking for.
