About the Role:
As the Regional Youth Support Coordinator you will lead and manage the implementation of the Youth Support Coordinator Initiative across the region.
You will develop and implement a system of professional supervision in collaboration with principals to ensure the youth support services within the schools are appropriate.
You will have strong relational skills, build strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders and support the development of the youth support coordinators.
We are looking for:
- Experience working with at-risk or disengaged students and families
- Experience leading a team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with families, schools, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated cultural competency, especially working with First Nations students and diverse backgrounds
- High standards of confidentiality, conduct, and information privacy
The following would also be favourable:
- Familiarity with education department and systems
- Prior experience in multi-disciplinary teams
- Understanding of inclusive education principles
