About the Role
The purpose of this role is to assist with the provision of Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) service delivery for management and staff across Metro South Health Distributed Care and Services (Addiction and Mental Health Facilities and Bayside). Support the HSW team through incident assessment and follow up. Assist with training, reporting, hazard assessments and liaising with clients to build the relationships necessary for a successful safety team.
Reporting into the Principal, Safety Operations - this role will also support (and be supported by) both the Distributed Care Safety Operations team and the wider MSH Health, Safety and Wellbeing team (refer to the team organisation chart below).
- Coordination and minute taking for the Health Safety & Wellbeing Committees under Distributed Care
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs, workshops and presentations focusing on Health Safety and Wellbeing.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, gender, identity, ages or abilities.
- Liaise with the Safety team and stakeholders to gain an understanding of hazards and potential solutions to issues as they appear.
- Participate in local networks and engage with external agencies in relation to Health Safety and Wellbeing networks and engage with external agencies in relation to Health Safety and Wellbeing.
