Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

Develop and deliver base level medical imaging clinical services as a member of the Ultrasound team to clients of Queensland Health (QH).

  • This position is a clinical training position designed to develop specialist ultrasound imaging skills and follows The Townsville University Hospital ultrasound training program.
  • Provision of high-quality ultrasound images, under the supervision of a senior Sonographer, as required of a tertiary referral hospital.

Requirements:

  • Successful applicant must hold an under Graduate degree in a Health Science e.g. Degree in Applied Science (Medical Imaging), 
  • Must be eligible for enrolment into Post Graduate Qualification in Ultrasound - recognised by Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Medical Imaging Professionals:
    • If a Radiographer, the applicant must hold a tertiary qualification, in a Medical Imaging profession.
    • Hold current registration with MRPBA (APHRA)
    • Hold a current Queensland Radiation Use License
  • Desirable:
    • Registered as student sonographer with ASAR.
    • Evidence of professional development activities.
