As Accounts Payable Supervisor you will coordinate and manage the day-to-day accounts payable processing activities relating to treatment, care and support payments for participants.

You will work in an agile and dynamic team across a range of processing activities, supervising a team of accounts payable processing staff, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Our goal is to pay suppliers accurately and on time, allowing NIISQ Agency to provide excellent service delivery to its participants, providers and stakeholders.

Your role

  • Manage a team of accounts payable processing staff, including workload management and team performance monitoring, ensuring appropriate internal controls and training of new team members.
  • Approve payments in compliance with delegations and internal processes, ensuring accuracy of information and continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Advise and assist on operational issues and procedures relating to accounts payable including queries from providers or support planner and acting as the first point of contact for escalation of accounts payable related issues.
  • Lead efforts to drive efficiencies in accounts payable tasks and processes, collaborating as a subject matter expert in organisation wide project delivery teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with the broader business areas to ensure seamless integration of accounts payable processes and alignment with organisational procedures.
  • Deliver ad hoc tasks or projects as and when directed, commensurate with the role.

About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:

  • Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of accounts payable processing software, and the ability to rapidly learn new systems to deliver client focussed financial processing services.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and high standards of customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, including stakeholder management, conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
  • Deep understanding of accounts payable functions and workflows, with experience cultivating a team environment that actively seeks business process improvements and adopts technological innovations.
  • Previous experience managing day to day accounts payable operations, including supervision of staff
