The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Operational Services Officers to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver and retrieve specialised beds and mattresses across the health service
- Work independently, prioritising tasks to meet service goals and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with staff and clients to support operations
- Physically handle equipment and perform daily rounds for deliveries and pickups
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- Experience working in a hospital/healthcare setting and/or with common hospital clinical equipment would be well regarded
- Work morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts

Salary
- Permanent part time (two positions, hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $31.24 - $33.33 per hour

The Clinical Equipment Resource Unit aims to contribute to the provision of safe, quality patient care by providing Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals access to a range of centrally managed clinical equipment and consumables and product advice to ensure the department and the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service are aligned with operational and strategic organisational goals.
