About you 
As a successful employee in this role, you will support the Deputy Director-General and the Executive Manager to fulfil their functions. Day to day activities is driven by your response to stakeholder needs and your management of diary and emails, overseeing multiple shared email boxes and allocating priorities to ensure the smooth running of the office will be a direct reflection of your high-level organisational skills.

Your flair for preparation of materials to support meetings and events will include agenda management and following up with various stakeholders' commitments to agreed actions from previous meetings. Your previous administration experience will see you identifying administrative systems and improvements, with the ability to initiate and influence change to increase efficiencies across the office. You'll be a strategic thinker, who can see challenges ahead and react accordingly to diminish risk levels. You'll have natural rigour when reviewing briefs, reports and incoming and outgoing communications, correspondence and briefs, while ensuring accuracy of reporting to relevant business units and teams when required.

Your exposure and administrative experience across Human Resources, Financial processing and procurement activities will allow you to communicate across all facets of the business as required and build on relationships within those disciplines and teams to support your own outcomes and requirements within the ODDG. You'll be someone who has their "finger on the pulse" and understands the changing demands of the business to accommodate various department activities, organisation arrangements and provision of advice on emerging issues.

You'll be tech savvy or have the ability to build quickly on this to support IT assistance, setting up of meeting rooms and functions, and the management of assets associated with electronic devices and access to network drives and similar. This will apply both locally within the building at 1 William Street, as well as any travel arrangements the DDG may be conducting across the state.
