The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) – Consultant provides expert level knowledge, skills and clinical leadership abilities for the delivery of safe and accurate Radiation Oncology treatments in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) and Queensland Health goals.
We are seeking a ACPSEM registered ROMP to oversee all medical physics aspects of stereotactic radiotherapy services within the Radiation Oncology department, including the ongoing safety and sustainability of current services and the establishment of an intracranial stereotactic service. The role will also assist the ROMP Director in a deputy role to provide clinical leadership as an expert specialist in radiation oncology medical physics and clinical operations as required.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- Provides formal, consultant-level clinical services in the field of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics and use expert command of specialised techniques within the Radiation Oncology service at a state/national level.
- Demonstrates an expert level of knowledge, skills, and advanced clinical leadership abilities with respect to the ongoing safety and sustainability of current and future stereotactic radiotherapy services at SCH.
Remuneration value up to $271,270 p.a., comprising salary between $229,679 - $237,756 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP6).
