You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver high quality hearing scheduling services for QCAT across the state. The role oversees the capability and development of a highly skilled team of staff and plays a lead role in ensuring consistency and innovation in the provision of hearing support services.

You will:

• Lead and supervise a team of hearing scheduling officers, driving the team's performance, growth and development.
• Develop service delivery standards for the scheduling team in conjunction with the Manager, Tribunal and Registry Services.
• Develop, review and maintain best practice scheduling procedures and processes to ensure the timely and effective provision of scheduling services, within budget.
• Provide advice and collaborate with the Assistant Director-General, QCAT judicial officers and tribunal decision-makers, QCAT colleagues and Magistrates Courts Service staff to enable the delivery of an annual well planned state-wide hearing venue plan within budget.
• Develop and manage the state-wide weekly hearing schedule, in consultation with QCAT judicial officers and tribunal decision-makers.
• Manage the resolution of any scheduling issues, problems or complaints brought by the decision makers and registry and escalate issues appropriately.
• Promote human-centred and trauma-informed service delivery, proactive use of digital technology, and data analysis to improve scheduling service delivery and efficiencies.
• Foster a work environment focused on continuous improvement through identifying and implementing business, process and technological improvements.
• Research and prepare briefing notes, ministerial correspondence (including investigating and actioning complaints), submissions, memoranda and other administrative requirements as directed.
• Participate in and complete QCAT initiatives and activities to support the achievement of the QCAT business plan and strategy.
• Perform duties in accordance with the position's Financial and Human Resources Delegation of Authority.
• Contribute to the delivery of QCAT's ongoing services and success by undertaking, as needed, assignments and projects aligned with current capabilities or that provide a development opportunity.
