Join the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) technical support team in a pivotal role ensuring public safety, managing natural and cultural resources, access to safe and sustainable recreational opportunities, and supporting multiple use of parks and forests!
You will support Rangers in the field with planning, delivery and reporting of compliance activities that safeguard these unique environments. Working closely with Rangers, other land management agencies and Queensland Police Service.
Our dedicated park management team in technical support are on the lookout for a passionate individual with a background in conservation and land management and an interest in engaging positively with our visitors, neighbours and tour operators.

About You: 
· Strong understanding of natural and cultural resource management principles. · Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and Forestry Act 1959.
· Proven experience in compliance operations, investigations, and enforcement actions.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
· Strong organisational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
· Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex land management and compliance challenges.
· A proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Please note that this is not an operational ranger position. Technical support roles primarily administrative positions with some field work incorporated to assist operational work units deliver projects.
You will be expected to travel within the region (from Bundaberg to Gold Coast) to connect with and support Rangers in the field. The role also involves some weekend work as needed.
