This position will lead and inspire excellence in dance by designing, delivering, and continuously refining a high-performance dance program that nurtures technical mastery, artistic expression, and discipline in aspiring dancers.
- Coach and Mentor Top Performing Students: Provide personalised coaching, feedback, and performance strategies to help elite dancers and athletes achieve at the highest level, both individually and as part of ensembles.
- Champion Performance Opportunities: Plan, coordinate, and lead a range of extracurricular and showcase events, competitions, and productions that celebrate student talent across multiple dance genres.
- Foster a Culture of Aspiration and Resilience: Build students' confidence, perseverance, and professionalism, preparing them for pathways in elite performance, tertiary study, or careers in the arts.
- Engage with Community and Industry: Strengthen partnerships with professional dancers, choreographers, and arts organisations to enrich the program with contemporary practice and real-world connections.
- Model Leadership and Professionalism: Uphold high expectations for student conduct, work ethic, and commitment, while modelling excellence in teaching, creativity, and ongoing professional learning
- Deliver a Specialised HPE Theory Program: Teach and adapt Health and Physical Education content that is purposefully aligned to the needs of dancers and high-performing athletes.
