About the opportunity
The successful applicant will complement and support the haematology clinical trials team by completing chart reviews and data entry for eligible patients with haematological malignancies treated at the Townsville University Hospital.
Role responsibilities
- Review electronic medical record systems to find relevant information related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with haematological malignancies.
- Enter accurate and timely data on all patients into relevant registry databases, including lymphoma, myeloma and leukaemia.
- Apply knowledge and application of regulations, policies, protocols and/or procedures in the conduct of clinical research such as GCP and NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2007.
- Liaise and work cooperatively and effectively within the Cancer Trials Unit, the multi-disciplinary clinical team, other health professionals, researchers and sponsors of the research.

- Salary range: $39.05 to $58.30 p.h. (AO2)
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
How you will be assessed
- Working knowledge of medicine and disease states. The position would be ideal student studying medicine or nursing.
- Keen interest in oncology or haematology.
- Attention to detail.
- Internal motivation and strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with and involvement in research activities will be viewed favourably.
- Good communication skills.
- Up-to-date good clinical practice training.
