About the role

Casual opportunity to provide a high standard of administrative support to clinical staff of Metro North Mental Health–RBWH as a Casual when incumbent staff are absent in leave.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide reception duties/initial point of contact for the area ensuring that all telephone enquiries are dealt with in a professional, courteous and timely manner and are directed to the relevant area for assistance or messages given to relevant staff members. This includes the answering of telephones from other unattended workstations.
  • Manage the ancillary administrative functions for example, filing, faxing, mail management, photocopying, ordering of office and cleaning consumables.
  • Prepare, manage and maintain medical records including requesting, returning and tracking charts on Hospital Based Clinical Information System (HBCIS) as required and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, filing of paperwork (letters, pathology, consent forms, other forms) according to Hospital Order of Filing requirements;
  • Provide high quality medical transcription services including letters, medico-legal reports, agendas and minutes and other correspondence as required.
